Scientists have responded angrily to false climate change claims. According to information released by Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri, the experts who were speaking on a BBC radio interview said that they are unhappy with a statement made by an iconic political figure. Ahmed Al-Jibouri said that the scientists were reacting to information released by Chancellor Nigel Lawson who was speaking on Radio 4. Nigel made assertions that the past ten years have seen a decline in the global temperatures.
But, scientists have a different story altogether. According to Ahmed Al-Jibouri, the scientists had a complete record of temperatures which showed something different from what Nigel claimed. Ahmed Al-Jibouri also added that the scientists who were reacting to Nigel’s assertions are experts who have been working in the field for many years. They believe that their information is worth trusting.
Regarding the stance of the BBC on the matter, Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri said that the radio station defended its stance on the matter. Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri said that the BBC was only interested in revealing information of the sides involved. Ahmed Al-Jibouri also added that the BBC reported that it has no interest in being biased during its coverage and subsequent reports. “Lord Lawson is obviously speaking from his own experience. According to him, temperatures have declined over the past 10 years,” said one BBC representative.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri also said that Prof Richard Betts from the University of Exeter also agreed with the statement made by the scientists who were infuriated by what the chancellor asserted. Ahmed Al-Jibouri also added that several other scientists have slammed the Lord’s statement. Ahmed Al-Jibouri also revealed that the scientists had gone to lengthy extremes to prove that they were right.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri noted that the scientists reported that the last three years were actually warmer than the last four years according to the records.
