Ahmed Al-Jibouri said that the total number of families that have fled Tal Afar is not known

Around 500 families have fled Tal Afar, an Iraqi district which is currently under the control of Daesh. The families have fled for their lives in a bid to seek refuge in neighboring Syria. Recently, Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri who is one of the high profile figures of the Middle East explained that the fleeing families were afraid of losing their lives after Daesh became the center of an Iraqi army led offensive.
Ahmed Al-Jibouri further added that the total number of families that have fled Tal Afar is not known. Rather, the army official who released the statement was merely giving a rough estimate of the total number of families thought to have fled the Daesh held district.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri also quoted the military official who was speaking to reporters from a named news agency. Ahmed Al-Jibouri explained that the official stated that at least 500 families mostly comprising women and children have fled the district and crossed into Syria. Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri further added that the news of the 500 families who have fled to Syria was announced by Nashwan Ibrahim who is a commander at Peshmerga brigade.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri was also following another source which reported information related to this subject. According to Ahmed Al-Jibouri, another military source was able to confirm that dozens of families have fled Iraq’s Daesh held Tal Afar into Syria. Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri further added that the source explained that the total number of civilians was estimated to be around 6, 000.
During the mid-days of 2014, the extremists took over most of the country including Daesh, which is predominantly Turkish as explained by Ahmed Al-Jibouri who has been following a number of sources pertaining to the subject. Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri also explained that the recent offensive led by the Iraqi army has caused instability in the district forcing civilians to flee.
